Durian Petai or otherwise known as the “bitter bean” in English has its name derived from the fact that when you open it up, its flesh gives off a smell that is similar to fresh petai. It is also known for its unique taste that our OA growers have described as being akin to XO variants that possess a slight liquor-ish sensation and a somewhat bitter aftertaste. Definitely the durian of choice for durian lovers that prefers something a bit stronger in flavor profile.
